Guide to Botting with Proxifier

Hi, quite a few people are starting to ask how to bot through proxies etc., so I decided to rewrite a guide I found on another forum (Guess I can't mention nor link to other guides from other forums). The guide was made for Runescape clients, but works the same way for WoW clients.

Proxifier can be used to route WoW Clients' data through socks5 proxies. This program is essential if you are running multiple bots on a server.

1. Part

You'll first of all need to download and install Proxifier from here: https://www.proxifier.com/download/#win-tab (Proxifier requires a license)

You'll need to either buy socks5 proxies or rent a VPS and setup the proxies there yourself (Buying them would probably be easiest for beginners)

2. Part

Now when you've done that open up Proxifier. Go to Profile > Proxy Servers > Add

Now enter the credentials provided from your proxy service

- IP: Port

- Protocol Version (Strongly suggest you to use & buy SOCKS5)

- Authentication (Username & Password for the proxy server)

Once you've filled in everything, hit the OK button. Should look something like this:

sJ8cW3L.png

not my own screenshot

3. Part:

Go to Profile > Proxification Rules. Now Set the Default rule name to Direct under actions. You can remove the Local host rule as its for no use.

Now you want to click on the Add button and create a wow proxy rule. Name it whatever you feel like, I just used wow_1 since I'm only going to use for just that. Now under Target Hosts copy & paste this: *.runescape.* and now just select your proxy you want to use under Action tab and click the OK button. Now if you've done everything correctly it should look similar to this:

pfEmsCG.png

picture is not mine and that's the reason it says runescape

Now you're done. Every time you open up your WoW clients you should be routing traffic through your proxies with the setup you just made.

If you're running several wow clients simply repeat step 2. and 3. by applying rules for wow_1.exe, wow_2.exe etc.

You don't need to copy your wow folder, simply copy wow.exe (duplicate wow.exe).

Common questions:

What proxy should I use? I'd suggest you to use SOCKS5 all the way!

Can I use free proxies? Yes you can but it will prolly be flagged already. I don't recommend this.

Where can I get paid proxies? Use google, there are tons of sites that offer premium proxies. Make sure to read and do some research about the company selling them first before buying.

Feel free to ask questions!

Ok so I've read through your guide.  (thanks again btw)  I think I am comfortable with the setup.  The problem is the socks5 / proxy situation.   I do not claim to know a great deal about the socks5 / proxy at all.   I do have a purchased VPN that I  use  (privateinternetaccess.com)   Can I use that in the setup of proxy  or would I need to discontinue using that and do a premium socks5 setup?  and what pricing wise are we talking about.. basically I want to do 4 bots at a time if possible.    but still show each wow client as a different IP.     If I need to move to a premium proxy buy/rent  what do you use? suggestion.

If you want to use your VPN you have to set it up on another machine and then use some software to make a socks5 out of that.  (You can make a VM), this however is probably for more advanced users. ?

I would suggest to indeed use socks5, just because it's easier. ?

As Ordush mentioned you should probably discontinue the use of your VPNs and simply get ahold of socks5 proxies ?

Getting ahold of proxies being buying and not scraping trash public proxies.

Personally i use both.
Socks5 proxies for games, and an easy to "turn you pc into a proxy" like ExpressVPN for day to day proxy. :)

I rented some extremely cheap VPSs which I set up socks5 proxies up on and then I also have a VPN with around 20 different locations for other uses :)

Try to show me the test results of your proxy and could you try to duplicate wow and call it wow_1.exe?

Possibly: Already in Use (you've started Proxifier.exe twice - or a similar program blocking the port?)

As Matenia said, please make sure that you are only running one instance of Proxifier and that Proxifier is allowed through your firewall etc.

Also, are you sure that your proxy is a socks 5 proxy and not a HTTP proxy etc?

Yes, thank you, btw, as you can see http://prntscr.com/jfbks0 its socks5 format.

I tested HTTPS and its Working, but not working for socks5.

If it works with HTTPS, then use that. However, HTTP proxy only supports http. ?

What does that mean exactly in terms of connecting to a private server the HTTP Proxy Vs SOCKS5 Proxy connection because i connect to vanilla priv server under http and can see each of my wows on different proxies without socks5 and just http.  And any of you have proxies running thru the Wrobot Relogger?.  PRoxies are fine and dandy but i can't seem to get my proxies to work with any Proxy program + Relogger and being off line or not scheduled is annoying.

I do not recommend using one folder for many clients. I would even advise you to create separate hard disk partitions for each client separately

Is this about retail or generally?

I have never had problems with that on either retail or private servers, but retail botting is kinda dead now, and it wouldn't be needed for private servers at least as far as i know
