PathFinder HTTP 401 / timeouts after update — bots AFK or run straight

  • Product: WRobot General
  • Type: Bug
  • Status: Unconfirmed

Hello!

After the latest WRobot updates I constantly get pathfinding errors and server connection errors. I run the bot from Russia. I already saw similar errors before, but now it is much worse.

I use a good VPN and tried different VPN connections, but the problem does not go away. Before the WRobot update it was still usable; now it is very bad — bots stand AFK or run in a straight line.

My colleague from Belarus has the same issue. Previously everything worked perfectly for him even without a VPN.

I attached a file with the main error types from my logs (HTTP 401, HTTP 500, timeouts, connection closed, DNS failures, etc.).

Thank you!

If you're playing Vanilla through WotLK, give my pathfinder plugin a try. It hooks your client up to a pathfinder I run on my own server - no Recast or Detour behind it, custom build end to end, so you get paths through terrain and height that the standard setups usually choke on.
