problem adding path point

I'm using gather mode and creating a gathering path. 

In record pach it is ON and says ALT-V to add a path point, I tried ALT-V, CTRL-V, Shift-V, none of them works.

pls help.

Hello, maybe another running application on your computer uses this shortcut. Do you have any error about in your log ?

I close the app and open again, it works. Sometimes this happens, I just need to re-open, dont know why.
