I have a paladin and if he is fighting caster mobs he doesnt get close in melee range so that he can use spells. He just wait at 4-8 yards range and waits for enemies to get close to him. Or he uses ranged spells but they often have long cooldown so thats not an option.

I know theres some stupid way to fix this probably ?

What fightclass are you using? It seems the range is set incorrectly, it needs to be lower for your char to get into melee range.
