After I followed these hints 

 

My toon is living a big bunch longer - that's great!

Sadly - right now - it is killing the mobs, looting them and then sitting down to rest (well that's ok), but it's forgetting to skin the animals (at least the ones with leather).

I read and installed various plugins:

 

Sadly both of them didn't solve my problem. Next step I was performing was changing the settings...
