  1. You can't take private servers and use them as a petri dish, as they are never an indicator of actual available playerbase.

I get what you're saying, and I miss vanilla/bc/wotlk as well, BUT, if Blizz doesn't see a BIG revenue stream from it, they won't waste the time or resources setting up or maintaining this.

I hope I'm wrong, but their business model suggests otherwise.

  2. The only way Blizz will ever launch a legit legacy server, is if there's a proven playerbase large enough to profit from, which I don't believe there is...

Everyone talks about how much they miss legacy WoW, but the fanboys and supporters of this aren't nearly as vocal or direct as the droves of raging assclowns that think WoD was 'AWESOME!!!'...

    Again, unfortunately.

To bot effectively, do I need to buy the latest addon or can I just buy the wow battlechest.

That depends entirely on what you're trying to bot.

There are different profiles for different releases or level caps of the game.

What are you wanting to do??

HB is The ban bot of the future the difference is HB is 100% detectable by blizzard Wrobot to date is not at all unless reported by a player. There is your "difference" between the two.

P.S One can only hope all people jumping ship from HB to Wrobot would not be as arrogant as this person.

Honestly, I'm hoping we don't get very many people jumping from HB to wRobot...

    Smaller is better.

  5. For gold, Starlight Rose all the way!!!

Still selling above 150g each on my servers, and doesn't show any signs of stopping any time soon (at least until the vendor comes out)...

Can farm approximately 200 in 1.5-2 hours in Suramar west, and not very crowded on my server unless there are WQ's active.

  6. If you're dead-set against paying for it before you try it, then find a private server that's hosting a compatible version of wow, and use the trial...

That being said, this isn't a 1-click bot for everything.

Some things, you will either have to learn how to do yourself, or pay someone else to do.

Either way, best of luck to you!

  7. Thanks for the input, iMod.

I'm going to be maining a Guardian Druid, and I have three other accounts with level cap Feral/Guardian Druids on them, for farming purposes.

I generally use Feral for farming, but from what I've seen recently, Guardian has similar damage, and MUCH more survival ability in similar gear.

On my main, for raids or maybe mythics, etc.

I work in excess of 70 hours a week, so I'm really not looking to build one myself, at this time.

I am, however, willing to pay someone to build me a GOOD profile...

I guess I should have posted this in Profiles and Requests.

Admin/Mod, please move to the correct section?  Thank you!!

  8. Pretty much anything you do, anything you send, or anything you loot/pickup/mine/farm is tracked, and is searchable in the logs.

That being said, unless you're REALLY unlucky, the chances of a GM stumbling across you by blind luck and witnessing you botting are about the same as getting struck by lightning, twice...

So chances are, someone reported you, or you did something blatantly obvious and/or stupid (i.e. running around during primetime in a major traffic area screaming "LOOK AT ME!!! I BOT!!!!!!")

Yep, that about sums it up...

  9. If you don't bot endlessly in a high pop area, then you're far less likely to be reported.

That being said, nothing is safe.  EVER.

However, you can limit your exposure by being smart about your bot usage.

As people above have mentioned, avoid populated areas, and try to build your own profiles, if at all possible, or at the very least, your own fight classes.

  10. Drflippy,

If you're willing to put a little time into it, this program is a true gem.

We have MUCH lower population than others, such as DB, etc. which is, imho, an absolute plus to this program, if for no other reason than our lack of visibility in the grand scheme of things.

The staff is very active, updates frequently, and has a good grasp of what people want/need.

They also don't seem to be afraid to call things as they see them, which is also important.

You're on the verge of joining a very tight-knit community, with many VERY dedicated members.

Read up on things, ask questions, and you'll be able to do pretty much anything you're looking to do.

    Best of luck to you!

  11. Exactly.

People want something they can just turn on and watch it go, and while there are a few gatherer profiles that will work like this, for the most part, you need to do a little bit of time investment to really see anything shine.

I'm generally really lazy, but I'm still willing to test things until they work correctly, and if they don't, analyze them until I find the problem.

    My 2 cents...

  12. I don't believe anyone was flaming, I just think there isn't a lot of patience for stupidity and/or ignorance around here...

That being said, people who are serious about botting WoW, and are willing to take the time to learn a few things here, are going to find an incredible resource, and a VERY open-ended, fully functioning program.  Those who aren't... not so much.  I'm still absolutely n00b when it comes to most anything with wRobot, yet I'm willing to take my time and figure it out.  There are also many other people on here who are not only willing, but completely able to help answer any questions.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that you get out of this what you put into it, which for some people lately seems to be very little...  This is a phenomenal tool, in patient hands.
