Helix PathFinder replaces WRobot's built-in path-finder with the Helix PathFinder Server. Your bot walks on roads, keeps off walls and away from monster camps, and can travel from one continent to another on boats, zeppelins, lifts and portals.
I wrote it because I was tired of bots hugging walls, getting stuck on doorframes and walking through mob camps. It works with every WRobot product that moves your character (Quester, Grinder, Gatherer and the others).
Installation
how to install
Download HelixPathFinder.dll from this page.
Put it in your WRobot Plugins folder.
Start WRobot, open the Plugins tab and tick Helix PathFinder.
Start your product. The log shows [Helix PathFinder] WRobot's paths now come from the PathFinder Server.
The plugin comes set up for the public server, so there is nothing to fill in. Stop the product or untick the plugin and WRobot uses its own path-finder again.
Features
Features
Nothing to download or store on your PC: the paths come from the server.
Roads first: routes prefer roads, paved town streets and town squares.
Keeps a safe distance from walls and goes through the middle of doorways. Handles stairs, slopes, ledges and drops.
Avoids monster camps that are dangerous for your level.
Travel anywhere: boats, zeppelins, the Deeprun Tram, lifts, portals and dungeon entrances. (Can be turned off.)
Flying routes in Outland, and in Northrend with Cold Weather Flying, on your own flying mount. Flight masters are never used. (On by default, can be turned off.)
Water: the bot swims at the surface and dives smoothly to underwater goals.
Holiday objects such as the Darkmoon Faire are known on the days they are up.
Smooth path: takes sharp turns, doors and hairpins cleanly instead of cutting corners. (On by default.)
Strafe steering: player-like steering on the ground. (Experimental, off by default; needs WoW's default movement keys.)
Anonymous stuck reports: places where bots get stuck are reported so they can be fixed in a server update. No names or account details are sent. (On by default, can be turned off.)

Settings
Settings
Open them from the Plugins tab with the Settings button next to Helix PathFinder. The defaults work for most people, so you only need to change something if you want different behavior.
Server
Paths
Take transports (on): routes may use boats, zeppelins, the Deeprun Tram, lifts, portals and dungeon entrances. Turn it off to keep the bot on one continent.
Flying routes (on): flies in Outland, and in Northrend with Cold Weather Flying, when WRobot is set to use a flying mount (General settings: use flying mount and its name) and the character is level 60 or higher. Flight masters are never used. Off: routes stay on the ground.
Use the server's bot size (on): the server picks a character size that fits every race. Turn it off to set your own size below.
Character radius, height, highest step, steepest slope: your own size and climbing limits, used only when the server's size is off.
Keep distance from walls (on) and Distance from walls: how far routes stay from walls and how closely they hug corners.
Movement - Still in testing state.
Smooth path (on): the bot follows the route closely at sharp turns, doors, hairpins and transport steps instead of cutting corners. On straight roads it keeps WRobot's own movement.
Strafe steering (off, experimental): player-like steering on the ground with the movement keys. WRobot still handles swimming, flying, transports and fights. Needs WoW's default movement keys.
Log
Log routes (on): writes every route that uses a transport to WRobot's log, which is handy when you report a problem.
Tell the server about stuck spots (on): sends anonymous reports of places where the bot got stuck, transport problems and finished routes, so those places get fixed in a server update. No names or account details are sent.
IF YOUR BOT GETS STUCK
Leave Tell the server about stuck spots on. The spot is reported automatically and fixed in a later server update, usually within a day. Until then WRobot's own unstuck handling takes over as usual.
