[Problem with Mind Flay]

I have tried everything that comes to mind.

I just cant get my priest to cast "Mind Flay"
Ive tried high prio, ive tried low prio.

Ive tried "Is spell usable", Ive tried with no conditions at all.
Is the spell called something else in WR or whats up?

Mind Flay is the rotation filler so its very important.
Right now Im adding "Mind Sear" (the AoE) with the same values and that one works :P
But the dps is much lower than Mind Flay

 

Oh and Mind Sear takes 3x the mana also :(

Thanks, can you send me your log (with your fightclass loaded)?

For the moment try to put "false" at the spell settings "Check if know spell, is usable and good distance" and add manually distance condition and timer.

I tried the "false" value. I dont know about the distance condition though. Mobs are usually in my face anyway when farming.

Kills mobs no problem, but is fairly bad at looting I must say.

 

However, if we can fix the Mind Flay it will kill mobs WAY faster and be super mana efficient about it too.

 

From what I can tell from the logs, "Mind Flay" is not recognized in the bot. Give us update :P

The bot looks abit retarded when waiting 2-3 second for something other than Mind Flay to cast. Obvious bot is obvious.

 

I also got teleported today after about 2-3 hours of grinding. Decided that was enough for this morning and have

been questing manually today. But still want to fix this fight class coz it will own so hard. It has the rotation set perfect. I will adjust

the smallest things when I get mind flay to work.

Normally with this settings, Mind Flay works.

So this is something to look into for the pro's.

 

My setup is the one I uploaded in fight classes, with the exceptions with the changes suggested in this thread earlier:

Could someone of the devs confirm that they get Mind Flay to work at all on their computers. this looks so much like a failure in the code somewhere. Like if the ID is wrong in the creator or something.

the only one that can check the code is Droidz  With WoW offline for another 2 hours (if not longer) we cant check live anyhow.  Bot will be updated for 5.2.0 soon.

Can you say me if with wow 5.2.0 and new wrobot update you have again this problem.

 

Im Euro, server downtimed 1 hour ago. but I will check tomorrow when server is up again.

 

As a Euro, should I update normaly through updater or use that downloadable file?

I have found solution.
 
I ignore raison but in spellbook the id is 585 http://www.wowhead.com/spell=585 .
 
When you choose Shadow Specialization, "Smite" is replaced by "Mind Flay", but in spellbook, id of spell don't changing, and try in game macro /cast Smite and you can see your character launch spell "Mind Flay".
 
I don't know why wow don't edit id, but for this spell (and others replaced spell for special specialization) you need to enter the first spell.
 
In your fight class replace "Mind Flay" by "Smite". This resolve problem.

Cant believe I didnt try that already since I figured it out with "Impending Victory". I had to write "Victory Rush" to make it work.

 

However, you might wanna do something about that in the bot. Here are three suggestions.

 

1) Remove those skills from the creator.

2) Write out the primary spell together with the wanted spell. I.e. "Mind Flay (Smite)". This will tell the creator that they have to use "Smite" to get Mind Flay to work.

3) Change the IDs in the bot on Mind Flay to do Smite. Creator wont even notice what you just did there :P

 

2 and 3 are really good suggestions imo. Will make everything so much easier.

I can auto replace bugged spell, but I don't know all bugged spells. If one member can help me to make list of bugged spells I'll integrate in wrobot replace auto.

Here is a macro to show all your spell's and ID's.  Maybe it would be a good idea to be able to tag a spell with the ID instead of the Name....

If you are making a fight class, this will tell you every possible spell.  Make a new macro, put the above in it, and drag it to a button.

There is an addon that will show the spell ID in the Tool Tip. its called IDTip its out of date but still works.

Ok if your running a macro and still ahve room to put this in top of the macro then do it:

 

#showtooltip Heartstrike

/use 13

/use 14

/cast Heartstrike

 

Ok so Ill break this down for you. The Showtooltip is exactly what it says, But no matter what you put infront of the move you are trying to cast in the rotation or the macro it will only show the tool tip of what follows the #showtooltip. So letting you mouse over your macros and seeing your Spell ID in the tool tip using the addon I have posted.
