Loki 47 Posted March 2, 2013 Share Posted March 2, 2013 There is a new package "Base Data - Admin" that needs update. I run the updater and click "Package manager (1)". A new window pop up with UNINSTALL or UPDATE/REINSTALL. When I click Update nothing happens. How do I get the update to work. EDIT: Nevermind, it was probably updating but nothing showed me it was updateing so I thought it froze. Took a good 2 min for it to update. You might wanna add an hourglass or something so ppl know its working :P Same thing again, but now I have been waiting 15 min for it to update but nothing happens. Ive stopped and closed the program and started it again trying to Package Update but nothing happens. If I hit the button to the left "Install or Update" it takes 10 sec until I get this: 19:28:57 - Update has finished. 19:28:57 - 0 file(s) need to be updated 19:28:57 - Check for updated files. But to the right it still shows "Package manager (1)". When I try to use Wrobot.exe it tells me that admin - base needs to be updated in Package Manager. Suggestions? Shadow 100 Posted March 2, 2013 Author Share Posted March 2, 2013 in the extremely rare event that you are trying to update while the actual files are still being uploaded to our webserver, this error will occur. as it is trying to download a file that is changing. The only way to fix this is to restart the update after the file has finished uploading to our server. This update just went live today btw. I am also updating my installer now to fix the last graphic changes and such, but If you didnt reinstall from the last update i pushed to my installer, I do recommend you do so. I completely restructed the installer to simply repackage the zip file rather than the entire bot. So unless the files inside the official zip are updated, I have no need to update the installer, as my installer will always run update.exe now and download whatever is current (also fixing said package problem) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Shadow 100 Posted April 4, 2013 Author Share Posted April 4, 2013 4-3-13 Final r108 Released -Added check for C++ runtimes again, should only install c++ 2012 U1 if Windows 8 is detected, and install c++2010 SP1 if Windows 7 or lower detected. --Dialogs are messy right now, but setup will install perfectly fine so long as you read and click cancel when you are instructed to and not ok. --One bug introduced by this, setup will attempt to install c++2010 on Windows 8 and alert user that it cannot be installed, this is normal and fine, I am still looking for a way to do this silently. -Changed internal version number to match WRobot 1.0.4 This should fix the updater problem you are having as well flabby69.
