  • Hide Wrobot in Process list

    Bugreporter
    • Product: WRobot General Type: Suggestion Status: Fixed

At the moment Blizz must only get a prozess list to see, if wrobot is started. A rename of wrobot.exe helps a little bit, but in the description field of the Prozess list they will find wrobot also....

May be its a good idea to delete the description field or change it to something like "Program" or "Test". Or to rename it to the name of the exe-file

Another good Idea could be to rename the mainprogramm before start randomly.

A renamed wrobot.exe ever want to update itself back to wrobot.exe ... hmmm...

    Hello,

This haven't importance, wow don't read process name to detect if bot is used or no, but, I have fixed it, wait the next update for get same file name/Process name.

For the moment you can use Resource Hacker to change application informations (you can also rename .exe file and change windows name in tab "Tools".

Hey, just so I know - what was actually changed? Cause obviously PQR being detected was a big deal I'd like to take every precaution.

PQR has been detected probably because it writing in wow chat (or for lua static code or wow addon), WRobot don't use this methods. I have removed wrobot in process name for the safe side (but no problem of detection of process name actually).
