It is based on locking frame, then using Lua to read UnitCastingInfo and UnitChannelInfo. I've found events to be unreliable, because they only work for enemies that are either your target, focus, pettarget or mouseover. If you temporarily set it to focus, you can just call UnitCastingInfo and get the required information.

why cant we use this in arenas? i was going to healbot my multibox in 5s so i could at least win vs some low teams

Because it's not smart enough to be used in arenas. Some people except PQR style with movement and such. The bot doesn't have anything to support that. At best you would have your bot on partymode standing still spamming some heals.

But other people basically expect to run it with wRotation and only move while the bot plays the game for them. This is not what this fightclass is for.
For your use case, I'd say go for it.

The free version runs pretty well thanks alot. Does the paid version still attempt to rank 1 ES steady shot, slam etc? Also is there any way to make it more healer centric if allies are around? It just goes so ham on the dps skills in tema fights.

Unfortunately, the paid version also tries to ES casts. There's no solid way of checking in TBC, whether a cast can be interrupted. As such, it will also try to interrupt during Divine Shield on a pally.
The paid version just an overall better rotation and more options and is slightly more healer centric. However, due to wRobot limitations in battlegrounds, I haven't found a solid way to run as a real healer.
The bot always runs as DPS and tries to pick fights, I just make it heal friends if they are around and prioritize that.
