January 17, 20197 yr @Droidz @Matenia @Andoido @Bambo for insight if wanted... Is it correct to assume that whatever methods Blizzard currently uses to detect bots in retail (BFA) will also be used for Classic WoW? Do we have any hopes of a working bot that's undetectable for Classic WoW?
January 17, 20197 yr Almost assuredly. however , vanillla was way back in 2006. and their anticheat wasnt much, it depends on the core code they run, its entirely possilble that their current anticheat is just to... New or Updated for valssic. Thats my 2 ccents
January 17, 20197 yr Yes it will have the exact same anti-cheat and you can not expect a bot to work with classic unless you've made a name for yourself and somehow manage to be part of a smaller private botting community. Those have existed ever since Legion was patched with the new system that eventually killed HonorBuddy and then slowly everything else. tl;dr you will not see an official wRobot for classic. You will not see Zzukbot, Vanillabotter, oGasai or anything else being ported either. Edited January 17, 20197 yr by Matenia
January 17, 20197 yr Author Private botting community? I thought Blizzard had found a way to catch all bots regardless of user count?
January 17, 20197 yr There are ways to be moderately safe. But if they know about your bot, they will find a way to detect it specifically. Especially because they can easily find out what you're doing to get around detection. Its a cat/mouse game that neither side is fully going to win.
January 17, 20197 yr Author Well, if they forced HB and WR out of business (with regards to retail) I think they have the upper hand on this game...
January 17, 20197 yr Im still keeping my fingers crossed droiz will fix it. or HB. I know nothing or the first few months will take place but, somebody soemwhere is goint to do it,!
January 17, 20197 yr Author Droidz already went as far as rebranding Wrobot with "Bot for private servers" so I don't think he's even planning on trying...
