Hi.

From earlier threads about how GM's on Netherwing detects botters I don't really get an idea of how to be successfull with it on this realm. For the theory concerning the client timer - I am pretty sure that it has not been a problem in any of my cases.

If you have any tips or clues to what extend the GM goes, please leave a post.

Now, I'd like to add my experience as clues to what and how they may approach detecting a botter.

First off, I have had a total of 6 accounts banned. None of the got passed lvl 50. I use different IP's, different machines and keep each session < 10 hours. In 2 cases, I have been slightly observing the bots as the actual ban happened.

I have the feeling that the GM's don't put time into "gathering evidence" and the time between detecting a bot to the actual ban happens within a few seconds.

Case 1) Botted char to lvl 48.

During the hours leading up to this, the bot was bothered by several players. I turn off the bot and stand idle for about 5 minutes. Afterwards, I HS to town and I go afk. While afk in town I am banned. This one surpises me.

I think this bann may have been based on player reports alone.

Case 2) Char lvl 12

The bot is heading to town. The bot is about to pass a lvl 6 wolf - which is standing way outside the pathline. For some reason the bot goes to attack the wolf (?). As the bot is hitting the wolf the mob is teleported about 15 yards away. Nonetheless, the bot runs straight for the mob.

At first, I thought the bot was glitching. But when the wolf teleported I thought it was just some weird server-bug (the server had been very unstable that day).

The bot kills the wolf and starts running away from town in the opposite direction of where it was originally going. About 2-3 seconds after the wolf was killed the char got banned.

As an extension to this case. In my efforts on trying to getting more info on how the GM's detect bots in practice I made a post on Netherwing forum. Writing a post where I act innocent / confused to why I was banned. Here the GM who did the ban (Wolfenstein) made a reply:

"You went from walking down the road to instantly turning around to attack nearest mob after i teleported you (not to mention obvious pathfinding usage). Go bot and sell your stories somewhere else."

The GM answer is great. However, his detailing is incorrect. I think he is doing this deliberately - in order to cover their actual trick(s). Instead, my description above is more accurate.

What happened? How do I get around these scenarios? Any solid tips to botting on Netherwing??

Hello,

The problem is that it is almost impossible to detect short distance teleport. Do you use popular profile?

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I have tried popular profiles. 4 (67%) of the attempts have been with 2 different popular profiles. It seems like they are banned more easily.

My manual profiles have been incredibly stupid. Nevertheless, in terms of not being banned my manual profiles have done better than the paid profiles (not to bash any profile).

Are the popular profiles a dead giveaway?

Not a dead giveaway no. But obviously private stuff is way safer than public stuff that every random GM can buy for a few bucks.

Yeah tricking bots and pushing them to impossible to detect conditions ( unless script will detect that madness ) is standard procedure on netherwing. Like you have flying mount they will take it off but they will let you fly without mount. Guess what.
